Opened in 2008, Wahoo Ziplines was the first in The Smokies. With approximately 2 miles of cables strung between platforms, zippers are immersed in a hardy forest canopy of beech and oak trees. There is no view left unobserved. From above, under or through, these cables offer heights from 40 feet to 250 feet from the ground. A pleasant set of walking trails along the forest floor connect platforms offering customers a chance to share their ziplining stories. The course is designed to build anticipation and in grandeur, to grab your attention and not let go.
Wahoo offers a family friendly experience for ages 5 and up. Concerns of slowing down and stopping are eliminated by the use of speed regulated lines and well trained certified guides. Freedom from stress allows each person to focus on the excitement of letting go, spinning 360, and even flipping upside down.
Here are some tips for a smooth ride:
- All participants must be at least 5 years old and 45 lbs; maximum weight 275 lbs/participant
- Book online, using the promo code provided.
- Add in the additional information section RIPKEN- “name of the team”.
- If your Team will have multiple reservations under different names, please provide in the “Additional Information” section the names of the reservations that would like to be together in a group.
- Our Group sizes can go up to 16 participants.
- If your Group will be larger than 16 participants, you will be divided into separate groups. You can divide amongst yourselves, but please make sure the Groups have a balanced amount of adults/children and also a balanced amount of participants. (ex: 18 participants can be divided into 9 and 9 or 8 and 10). Also, each Group should have a group leader. At the time of check-in, just the group leader will come into the office to register.
- It is paramount to be on time for your reservation, also it is very important to have all the waivers filled out before your check-in time; traffic can be bad, so plan ahead. Late arrivals will result in missing the tour. No refunds will be provided but will have the opportunity to reschedule at a later time or date. A rescheduling fee of $5+tax per participant will be assessed. All Wahoo Ziplines policies will apply.
- After you book your tour, you will receive a confirmation email. The email will have all the important information that you are required. Please go over the information carefully and share it with all participants.
